Your career at 2nd Spark

As an Account Director at 2nd Spark, you will be responsible for managing a specific set of clients who have decided to partner with 2nd Spark on distinct projects.  Your success in this role lies in your ability to deliver exceptional work and transform your clients into “brand fans”.  This means you go beyond the transactional delivery of a project by engineering highly memorable and meaningful experiences.  Your clients will recognize you as their thought-partner. This requires you to be strategic, progressive and constantly thinking about how you can solve their business challenges.

Business related responsibilities:

·       Seek out new opportunities with existing clients

·       Develop proposals

·       Foster client relationships 

·       Be on the forefront of customer engagement strategies

Client related responsibilities:

·       Identify what success looks like at the start of a relationship, develop a plan and execute

·       Analysis of client’s business situation, challenges and data/insights

·       Set objectives, develop a strategic framework and create tactical recommendations 

·       Craft and present creative solutions to business challenges

·       Manage client communications, project status and timelines

·       Identify and source resource needs, manage external partners

·       Manage budget and ensure profitability 

Ninja skills required 

  • You have pharmaceutical or healthcare ad agency experience across a number of brands/categories. More specifically, you understand the healthcare industry, can be imaginative in a medical/scientific way, and enjoy doing so. 

  • You’ve played in an account management role and value your client’s success.  You understand the difference between being a strategic thought partner and being a “yes man”.

  • Your intellectual curiosity helps generate innovative and creative approaches to solving complex business challenges. You like to push the boundaries and go beyond the traditional means of customer engagement.

  • You always ensure the highest level of strategic and creative output while remaining consistent with clients’ marketing strategies and objectives. 

  • You are a fearless self-starter who can work independently without the support of in-house account, project management and creative departments, but with a network of strategic consultants and freelance creative specialists to tap into. 

  • You’re highly flexible and collaborative. You’re willing to manage within the structure of an independent agency. 

  • You can present to clients with enthusiasm, charisma, and confidence. 

  • You have a sense of humor and take your work (but not yourself) seriously.
